NEW Corduroys and Denims

New corduroys and denims have arrived.  Lovely winter colours in corduroy, our favourites are the soft pin wale stretch cords, great for blouses and skirts.   Also to help with your winter wardrobe we have new satin backed polyester suedes.

Hint: Denim and Corduroy

Hint: {denim and corduroy} When working with denim and corduroy it makes constructing the garment much easier if the fabrics are washed and tumble dried first.

Both fabrics require nap pattern layout.

Multiple thicknesses are easier to penetrate if you:

*pound the seams with a hammer before stitching to break down the fibre

*use a jeans needle

Use orange, red, white, gold coloured thread for seam topstitching.  If you don’t have topstitching thread, use two strands of regular thread.
